Focus On Your Goals

One of the biggest keys on getting free from your Goo is focusing on what you want instead of what you don’t want.  Where you want to go instead of where you don’t want to go.

A great example of this takes place at high performance driving schools where they teach people how to drive race cars.  They do an exercise where an obstacle course is set up and the student will drive through the course with the instructor sitting next to them letting them know when to “turn left, turn right, turn left.”  It never fails that the student will hit one of the obstacles even though the instructor is telling them exactly when to turn so they don’t hit anything. Viva la Revolution!

Joshua Scott Onysko

The revolution is under way…have you noticed?  We are at a paramount time in the history of our own cultural evolution. It’s almost as if the universe is stripping away the fat that has blinded us and we have some serious choices to make. Among the many of them is: “Do we make choices based on learned misconceptions, or do we make choices based on our inherent need to be free?”

In this case I am referring to true freedom; not the kind we fight for, vote for and die for, but (more…)

Wake Up And Take Back Your Power

IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP!

A few years ago I was teaching a relationships class and I asked the students to check in with what they noticed about the energy of a challenging relationship and then about a relationship that seemed to flow with ease.

As the students shared what they had noticed a fascinating thing happened.  Every single student referred to the challenging relationship as the “bad” one and the relationship that flowed with ease as the “good” one even though I had never used the words good or bad in setting up the exercise. Unconscious Agreements

Posted on 20. May, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

What is stopping you from being happier, wealthier, more loved, more loving, more compassionate, less grumpy, more honest, worry less, celebrate more or whatever else you may desire?

Every single thing you don’t have is simply because you are in agreement with not having it.  The agreement may be subconscious, but it is still there.  This is Goo. (more…)

The Creek

Posted on 17. May, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

I was working beside Boulder Creek today.  Being around the creek on one of the first warm days of Spring is always so much fun.  People walking, running and biking on the creek path, tubers floating by, dogs playing in the water.  I love it.

And I was reminded that the water doesn’t care what you do with it.  It just keeps rolling on.

A duck swam by and showed its ability in allowing the water to support it and take what it is given as it masterfully negotiated the rapids.  The big golden retriever just down stream from me takes a different approach as he bounds into the water in pursuit of the latest stick it has fallen totally in love with.  Though he does not have the grace of the duck he still finds a way to enjoy the rushing water. No Such Thing As Unhappierness

Posted on 29. Apr, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

I have set the intention to be honest with myself about my next steps in business and life. Everything from creating new products and that they will have value, to not drinking alcohol and eating better. Things are changing. But not really. I am just letting the true me come forward. It surprises me at times.

I am not sure what my diet will end up consisting of, but it is clearly shifting. I am a little worried about how it will appear to others. Again pre-judging others for me. I think eating consciously and not drinking alcohol will look all woo woo and superior and that others will not like me for it or not be able to relate to me, but that is just fear. (more…)

Stop Pre-Judging

Posted on 26. Apr, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

During my meditation recently, I held the intention that I wanted to show up more honestly in my business and life. When I asked what step I could take to help fulfill this intention, I received the answer, “stop pre-judging myself for others.”  As confusing as that may sound to you, it made perfect sense to me.

I have a long history of convincing myself that I know what others will think of something I am considering doing, saying, wearing or whatever.  How arrogant is that? (more…)

Calm Is Not Boring

Posted on 21. Apr, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

I know people that think calm equals boring.  That being calm is like going through life in neutral.

As you heard on my radio show this week from life-saving expert Diane Sieg, calm stands for:  Clarity, Awareness, Love and Meaning.  Sounds pretty good huh?

Take a minute and apply these words to the things you will be doing today.  Imagine feeling clarity in all your activities. (more…)
