Calm Is Not Boring

I know people that think calm equals boring. That being calm is like going through life in neutral.
As you heard on my radio show this week from life-saving expert Diane Sieg, calm stands for:Â Clarity, Awareness, Love and Meaning. Â Sounds pretty good huh?
Take a minute and apply these words to the things you will be doing today. Imagine feeling clarity in all your activities. Having awareness of who you are, where you are and all that surrounds you as you go about your day. Now feel the love that is a part of all you do. Imagine feeling love all the time. Then notice the meaning in your day when you make this connection. Just sit with it and enjoy. This is calm.
You can be calm in absolutely anything you do. There is nothing that says you have to sit crossed legged on the floor and chant “Om†in order to be calm.
You can be driving to work and be calm. You can be getting the kids ready for school in the morning and be calm. You can be preparing for a visit from your in-laws and be calm (seriously). You can be walking to an unexpected meeting with your boss and be calm. You can be jumping out of a plane and be calm. There is really no limit to where you can be calm.
In fact, the more calm you can be in these and all other situations, the more deeply you experience these events. Calm facilitates certainty, honesty, the ability to ask for what you need and feel comfortable in your own skin.
Diane’s definition of calm fits very well into the Freeing You From The Goo process I teach my clients. Calm supports the steps of focusing on what you want, clearing away the Goo to bring your truth into the light and living your Goo-Free life.
So as you can see, calm is not boring…not even close. Calm is an important step toward freedom.
