You Can’t Win If You Don’t Play

I was talking with a friend the other day when the conversation turned to how they used to lack motivation for everything, even change. Â But now they were ready to change. Â Actually they were committed to changing. Â Enough was enough.
That is when it hit me. Â Making a commitment to change and acting on it is like playing a lottery that no one else knows about.
It is like having the lottery people call you and say, “We are holding an extra lottery drawing this week and we are only telling you. Â Oh and you get to decide what the prize is: Â riches, happiness, love, joy. Â You decide. Â Would you like to buy a ticket?”
Who wouldn’t want those odds? Â It is your game and yours alone. Â No matter what, you can’t lose.
The key is acting. Â You have to buy the ticket. Â Like the lottery advertisements in my home state used to say, “you can’t win if you don’t play.”
Are you ready to pick up your winning ticket?
