Focus On Your Goals

One of the biggest keys on getting free from your Goo is focusing on what you want instead of what you don’t want. Where you want to go instead of where you don’t want to go.
A great example of this takes place at high performance driving schools where they teach people how to drive race cars. They do an exercise where an obstacle course is set up and the student will drive through the course with the instructor sitting next to them letting them know when to “turn left, turn right, turn left.â€Â It never fails that the student will hit one of the obstacles even though the instructor is telling them exactly when to turn so they don’t hit anything.
Then they go back and start the course over, only this time the driver is blind folded. That’s right, they can’t see a thing. Again they instructor is letting them know when to “turn left, turn right, turn left†and the student will sail through the course without hitting a single obstacle.
How can this be? It is because we tend to focus on what we don’t want instead of what we do want.
When we focus on clear guidance that is telling us exactly how to get to our goal, we are able to get where we want to go without concerning ourselves with the things we used to try to avoid.
Just like the driver who received the same guidance from the instructor both times, but when they could see they ran straight into what they were trying to avoid.
When you put your attention on what you want instead of all the things you don’t want, you will get to your goal a whole lot faster. As a matter of fact, it’s the only way you will get there. It is called intention
The more clearly you can identify what it is you want in your life. What it is you want to create, and then point yourself in that direction, the faster you’ll get there.
What we don’t want is the Goo. Goo is all the fears, concerns and obstacles we encounter in life. Goo is only effective if you give it the attention and energy that it needs to survive. So take your attention off the Goo.
Shift your focus off where you don’t want to go and focus on where you do want to go. This positive focus will guide you to the Goo-Free life you want to live. You will drive right by those obstacles and not touch a single one.
