Recent email I received:  “I have been thinking about this lately, how or when we lose it- the ability to follow our intuition?” – Amy

Good question.  So good, in fact, that I am sharing the answer I gave with you all.

This question is a great example of not trusting your intuition.

See the intellect wants there to be “the answer” for this question, but intuition tells us there is only YOUR ANSWER. Everyone has there own answer to how, when or if they lose their ability to follow their intuition. (more…)

How Long Can You Stand to Feel Good?

Posted on 16. Aug, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

Julie Colwell, Ph.D.

Katie Hendricks asserts that most of us can stand to feel good for about 4 seconds. At that point, we’ll do something to interrupt the pleasant feeling: create a fear or critical thought, notice what is wrong, even bump into something to cause pain in our bodies.

This is known as the Upper Limit Problem, or ULP. Noticing when we ULP is a first step towards helping our bodies evolve into a higher and higher level of consciousness, one where we walk around living from the reality of what works, what is beautiful, how the world comes forward to meet all of our needs, how every breath in us and our fellow beings is actually a total miracle.

So–how long can you stand to feel good? Time yourself. Watch your thoughts, and see how long you can think only positive things. Listen in on your conversations and see if you and the people you’re speaking with can actually stay focused on what is working. Then–try making it longer. Build your feeling-good muscles.

Focus On Your Goals

Posted on 14. Jul, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

One of the biggest keys on getting free from your Goo is focusing on what you want instead of what you don’t want.  Where you want to go instead of where you don’t want to go.

A great example of this takes place at high performance driving schools where they teach people how to drive race cars.  They do an exercise where an obstacle course is set up and the student will drive through the course with the instructor sitting next to them letting them know when to “turn left, turn right, turn left.”  It never fails that the student will hit one of the obstacles even though the instructor is telling them exactly when to turn so they don’t hit anything. Clearing Your Energetic Closet

Posted on 29. Jun, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

Have you ever had an article of clothing that you did not want to get rid of even though it no longer looked good or fit you?  Maybe there were even holes worn in it?  It really does not serve you anymore but you are so attached to it that you resist letting it go.

We sometimes do the same thing with the energies in our lives.  Perhaps it is the energy from a past relationship, work environment or school or family.  This energy no longer serves you, in fact it is restrictive like a piece of clothing that you have long since out grown.  When you have it on you feel confined. Become a Love Magnet

Posted on 23. Jun, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

How do we attract love?  We all know that love is everywhere.  It is in the trees, the flowers, children, food, family, friends, the weather, our questions and our answers.

And you have probably heard that love comes from within and it’s true.  Love is like a magnet.  So until we magnetize ourselves with love for who we are, where we are and what we are right now, it is very challenging to attract love from anywhere else.

Oh but when we get that self-love is cranked up and we are fully magnetized, love comes pouring in from all directions to support and validate the love we have for ourselves.  Without this magnet, there is not much to have supported or validated.  This is why love must start from within.

This self-love is at the core of everyone.  It is our essence.  It’s our connection to the higher power from which we came.  Embrace it, and you will experience love raining into your life.

Opening to Abundance

Posted on 17. Jun, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

Having a new intention today was a bit challenging.

Keeping the intention of opening to supportive abundance in all areas of my life was new and a bit clumsy.  The guidance I received was to trust.

Instead of trying to figure out where the abundance is, just trust that if it feels like (more…)

What if Life Were Simple?

Posted on 11. Jun, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

I was watching the movie Forrest Gump last night and it got me thinking, why do we make things so complex?  Life is really simple if we let it be.

Again and again throughout his life, Forrest takes the simple and direct approach to whatever he encounters.  He does not spend his energy explaining or justifying his actions.  Nor does he dwell on the “what ifs” that many of us find ourselves paralyzed by every day.  He just does it and it usually works out. Why I Do What I Do

Posted on 09. Jun, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

Why do I do what I do?  I do it because I want to keep experiencing a feeling I have only found by helping people get free from their Goo.

You see, I have been fortunate enough to have a hand full of experiences where a student or client of mine came up to me and said, “Thank you, you changed my life.” (more…)

What Is Your “Why?”

Posted on 07. Jun, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

I had this question posed to me while watching the video below of Simon Sinek presenting at a TED Conference.

This is good stuff.  Check it out.  It may change your life…it did mine.

What Is Your Passion?

Posted on 03. Jun, 2010 by in The Goo Blog

One way to start to find out what is your passion is to ask yourself what is it that you love to talk about.  Once you get started you can’t stop.  It is effortless.  Actually it is invigorating and energizing to talk about this topic or item.

For me it was a toss up between energy work/empowerment and sustainable building.  If someone got me started talking about either one, I could talk for hours and never realize it. (more…)
